Frequently asked questions
Why can’t QuickBooks import my bank CSV directly?
QuickBooks Desktop only imports bank transactions in QBO (Web Connect) format, and QuickBooks Online is very picky about CSV layouts. This tool converts any bank’s CSV export into a proper QBO, OFX or QIF file that imports cleanly.
Is my bank data uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser on your own device. Your transactions, balances and account details never touch a server — you can even disconnect your internet after the page loads.
Which format should I choose?
QBO for QuickBooks Desktop (File → Utilities → Import → Web Connect). OFX for most other accounting apps (Xero, Wave, GnuCash, Money). QIF for Quicken and older software.
My CSV has separate Debit and Credit columns — is that supported?
Yes. Map both columns and the tool combines them automatically (debits become negative amounts, credits positive).
My file is from Excel — what do I do?
In Excel, use File → Save As → CSV (Comma delimited), then drop that file here. Direct .xlsx support is coming.
Is there a row limit?
Free converts up to 100 transactions per file. Pro (one-time purchase) removes the limit and adds saved column mappings for repeat use — built for bookkeepers who convert statements every month.
